Jessie holds a PhD in Molecular Microbiology & Microbial Pathogenesis from Washington University in St. Louis and a Masters degree in Environmental Science & Management with a focus on Pollution Prevention and Remediation from UCSB’s Bren School. Throughout her career, Jessie has worked extensively with diverse microbes and has held numerous positions in both academia and industry. Prior to joining ExFAB, Jessie worked at Apeel Sciences in Goleta, CA, where she specialized in the discovery of antimicrobial natural products to combat fungal infections in plants.
