Project Scientist
Nathalie was trained in marine biology and tropical biodiversity. She earned her B.S. degree from the University of La Rochelle and her M.S. from the University of the Antilles. During her Ph.D., she focused on chemosynthetic symbioses in clams, studying how hosts acquire bacterial symbionts and investigating host cell and tissue plasticity to manage symbiont loss and acquisition using various imaging technologies. After completing her Ph.D., Nathalie moved to Vienna, to work on pelagic and host-associated microbes. She then joined the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, where she developed bioimaging workflows to visualize and characterize microbial interactions, exploring how microbes interact with each other and with their environment. She is now applying her microbial imaging expertise at Ex-FAB.
