Bio

Dr. Squires received dual Bachelor’s degrees in Physics and Russian Literature from UCLA, and a Ph.D. in Physics from Harvard University. His teaching and research interests center on the dynamics and processes of soft materials and complex fluids, as he seeks to understand, troubleshoot, and design multifunctional, multicomponent complex fluids.

The Squires lab works in various areas of micro-scale fluid mechanics and transport science - microfluidics and electrokinetics, active, nonlinear and interfacial microrheology of complex materials, polymer dynamics and sensors.
